It is possible to scramble down the sand dunes to the beach below. Approaching Three cliffs from Pennard, again a 6 mile drive from Redcliffe, a privately owned car park here and a walk through woods takes you to the meandering stream which leads to the sea at Three Cliffs If you plan to walk along this coastal path - it's just wonderful! It is a three and a half mile walk, passing Brandy Cove and Pwll Du Bay on the way. It's a fair way but there's a wonderful cafe at the end of it!

OXWICH BAY

Edging up to the beach is Oxwich National Nature Reserve, Here you will find a mix of sand dunes, lakes, woodlans, cliffs and salt and freshwater marches - it's rare to have so many different habitats in such a relatively small area. Two restaurants here, one sitting on the beach, the other also with sea views.

THE WORM'S HEAD

A sign will be there alongside the coastguard's building letting you know whether you've left it too late!

Langland Bay

Much nearer home is Langland Bay an easy (apart from a bit of a gradient up on the first headland!) 40 minute walk from Redcliffe. Different from Caswell with a choice of cafes dotted around. Just a 5 minute car drive away.

Bishopston Woods

Start at Bishopston and follow the river along to Pwll Du Bay. Can be a little uneven underfoot but a delightful walk.

Pwll Du Bay
